Salary Details
- Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’: Level 10 (₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500). Approx. gross emoluments ₹86,955/month.
- Technical Assistant / Scientific Assistant / Library Assistant ‘A’ / Nurse ‘B’: Level 7 (₹44,900 – ₹1,42,400). Approx. gross emoluments ₹69,595/month.
- Radiographer ‘A’: Level 4 (₹25,500 – ₹81,100). Approx. gross emoluments ₹39,525/month.
- Technician ‘B’ / Draughtsman ‘B’: Level 3 (₹21,700 – ₹69,100). Approx. gross emoluments ₹33,635/month.
- Cook / Fireman ‘A’ / Light Vehicle Driver ‘A’: Level 2 (₹19,900 – ₹63,200). Approx. gross emoluments ₹30,845/month.
Educational Qualification
- Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’: M.E./M.Tech/M.Sc Engg or B.E/B.Tech/B.Sc Engg in relevant disciplines with specified aggregate marks.
- Technical Assistant: First Class Diploma in the relevant engineering discipline from a recognized University/Institution.
- Scientific Assistant: First Class B.Sc. with the relevant subject as the main from a recognized University/Institution.
- Library Assistant ‘A’: First Class Graduation + First Class Master’s Degree in Library Science/Library & Information Science.
- Technician ‘B’ / Draughtsman ‘B’: SSLC/SSC pass with ITI/NTC/NAC in the relevant trade from NCVT.
- Cook: SSLC/SSC pass with 5 years of experience in a well-established Hotel/Canteen.
- Fireman ‘A’: SSLC/SSC pass and must satisfy prescribed physical fitness standards.
- Light Vehicle Driver ‘A’: SSLC/SSC pass with 3 years of experience and a valid LVD license.
Age Limit
The age limit is as of 14.11.2025:
Jobs In Tamil Nadu
- Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ (Post codes 03-06): 18-28 years.
- Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ (Post codes 01-02): 18-30 years.
- Fireman ‘A’: 18-25 years.
- All other posts: 18-35 years.
- Age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen as per Government of India orders.
Selection Process
The selection process varies by post:
- Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’: Written Test and Interview. Final selection is based on 50% weightage to written test marks and 50% to interview marks.
- Technical/Scientific Assistant, Technician, Draughtsman, Nurse, Radiographer, Cook, LVD ‘A’: Written Test and Skill Test. The skill test is qualifying in nature, and final selection is based on written test marks.
- Fireman ‘A’: Written Test, Physical Efficiency Test (PET), and Detailed Medical Examination (DME) [file:2].
