Salary Details
- Pay Scale: The post carries a pay scale in the Pay Band ‘HAG’ of Rs. 67,000/- to 79,000/- (pre-revised) with an annual increment of 3%.
Educational Qualification and Experience
Candidates must be persons of ability and integrity with adequate knowledge and professional experience in one or more of the following fields:

Specific Experience Requirements:
- For Government Service Personnel: Must have held the post of Secretary or Additional Secretary to the Government of India (or equivalent) for not less than 3 years.
- For PSU/Statutory Body Personnel: Must be working or have retired as an Executive Director (or equivalent) in a Schedule ‘A’ CPSU or a similar rank in a Statutory Body.
- For All Other Persons: A minimum of 25 years of experience in a relevant field is required.
Age Limit and Tenure
- Tenure: The Member will hold office for a term of up to five years from the date of appointment.
- Age Limit: The term will last until the appointee attains the age of 62 years, whichever is earlier.
Selection Process
A Selection Committee, constituted by the Government of India, will consider the applications and make recommendations for the selection of the Member.
