Salary Details
- Apprentice Monthly Stipend:
- Metro Branches: ₹15,000
- Urban: ₹12,000
- Semi-Urban/Rural: ₹10,000
- For NATS candidates, government share of stipend (₹4,500) credited separately; total banks’ share: ₹10,500 (Metro), ₹7,500 (Urban), ₹5,500 (Semi-Urban/Rural)
- No Additional Allowances/Benefits; apprentices are not eligible for employee benefits.
Educational Qualification
- Graduation:
Degree in any discipline from a government-recognized university or equivalent qualification. - For NATS: Final year results (graduation) must have been declared between 01.04.2021 and 01.08.2025.
- Candidates should not have undertaken any apprenticeship training earlier in IOB or other organizations, or held a job/training for 1 year or more post-qualification.
Age Limit
- Minimum: 20 years
- Maximum: 28 years (as on 01.08.2025; Born between 01.08.1997 and 01.08.2005 inclusive for General/EWS)
Upper Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: +5 years
- OBC (Non-Creamy): +3 years
- PwBD: +10 years
- Widows/divorced women/separated legally (unremarried): up to 35 years for Gen/EWS, 38 years for OBC, 40 years for SC/ST
- NAPS-registered candidates: max age should be less than 34 years as on 01.08.2025
Selection Process
- Online Written Test (Objective):
- Subjects: General/Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative & Reasoning Aptitude, Computer/Subject Knowledge.
- 100 questions, 100 marks, 90 min.
- 5% relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD, merit-based shortlisting.
- Exam via camera-enabled device (desktop/laptop/tablet/mobile).
- Test of Local Language:
After written exam; for proficiency in opted local language of the applied state. 10th/12th mark sheet/certificate in the language exempts from test. - Personal Interaction & Document Verification (Physical) at designated centers.
How to Apply
- Register on NATS (https://nats.education.gov.in) or NAPS (https://www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in) portal prior to applying.
- Apply online at IOB Careers (www.iob.in) or BFSI SSC (www.bfsissc.com) from 10.08.2025 to 20.08.2025.
- Fill the Online Application with correct details and NATS/NAPS enrollment number.
- Upload required documents and photo ID as per guidelines.
- Pay Application/Exam Fee via online mode:
- PwBD: ₹400 + GST = ₹472
- Female/SC/ST: ₹600 + GST = ₹708
- Gen/OBC/EWS: ₹800 + GST = ₹944
- Print application and fee receipt for reference.
- Await email intimation for exam schedule by BFSI SSC.
Instructions
- Apply individually; one state/UT preference only (preferably home state).
- No withdrawal of application/fee refund allowed.
- No prior apprenticeship with IOB/other organization, or prior job/training for ≥1 year.
- Submit originals & photocopies of all certificates at document verification; OBC must have valid Non-Creamy Layer clause, EWS with valid Income & Asset certificate.
- PwBD candidates submit disability certificate as per prescribed format.
- All communication via registered email only.
- No TA/DA for document verification.
- Engagement is purely temporary (not regular employment); no obligation for future employment.
- Leave: 1 casual leave per month (max 12/year).
- Hostel/transport/residential accommodation not provided.
- Adhere to IOB’s conduct/disciplinary rules.
